We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has
been through a lot over the last months, and all of us are looking forward to
resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing
has remained the same, our commitment to your safety and the safety of our team.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection
control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and
comfortable. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the
American Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We follow the activities of
these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be
issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current
and adhere to each agency's recommendations. Some changes will not be obvious to you
(our HVAC system exchanges 75% of the air in our office hourly). Other changes will
be more obvious...
-We will encourage you to come in when you are healthy. You will be asked some
screening questions upon arrival.
-We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.
-Upon entering our office, your temperature will be taken.
-When you arrive at our office, please wear a face mask. If you do not have one,
we will provide one.
-We ask that people who do not have an appointment do not enter our office.
-You will see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children's
toys and so forth, since those items are hard to sanitize.
-Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.
This might mean you are offered fewer options for scheduling.
-We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting
times for you.
-We are also going to keep our building cooler than normal due to new PPE
requirements. You may wish to dress warmer than normal.
We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have
about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To
make an appointment, please call our office at (703) 532-0072.
